Hello, I am 67 and retired. I do find self-isolation difficult. Big fan of music, movies and Netflix. I would be happy to chat with others. Thanks!

Hi pepper53-
So glad to have you onboard and I hope you'll find this a useful place to be and will make some new friends during this terrible crisis. Self isolation is challenging, but we are practically all in it together now, so forums like this are great for bringing us together.
Please take care and stay safe.
Thank you!
Hi, yes you never go short of finding something to watch on Netflix. I think sites like this can offer support, we all have something in common at the moment which is Global. Stay safe. x
There are times that I can't find anything interesting on Netflix. And other times I stumble on great stuff! What have you been watching?
Nice to meet you!
Greetings Pepper from Hampshire UK. I’m 65 and classed as extremely high risk but I’m lucky enough to have a partner so not feeling as isolated as some poor people.
I have a daughter in Massachusetts and a son in Northern Ireland. I do worry about them and miss them more than ever at this time.
What Netflix films do you like?
Hi pepper53, I'm from Boston too! I'm glad I found this community. Feeling stressed, but trying to take things one day at a time. It's hard to self-isolate, but its the safest thing to do. Hope you stay well...let us know your Netflix recommendations
Hi ekrafty, We may be neighbors! Netflix recommendations (in no particular order): Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Sound Of My Voice (Linda Ronstadt documentary), Hinterland, Broadchurch, Echo in the Canyon (documentary of 60's-70's music scene in Los Angeles), Longmire, Happy Valley, The Killing (may not be on Netflix). And more to come!
What are you watching?
Hi pepper53-_!!!
I’m Reg from Reading, not far from London. I am 58 yo. Been mostly self-isolating for two weeks now as I am ‘high risk’. Hate being in to be honest! Lucky to have a partner though and two dogs so every other day we get to go out and walk them and there is countryside just 15 minutes walk away.
Just ordered a bunch of films on Amazon. One a week will last two months lol. Got family living close by but missing them a lot because not allowed to see them. Two kids, a lad, 25 yo, and daughter, 21 yo. Worried about them but they are pretty strong healthwise.
Got a small garden to sit in and some warmer sun now. Early Spring here. A bit of gardening. Usually sing round the bars and clubs here but that’s knocked on the head 🥺.
Trying to keep my chin up.
How are you getting by?
Hi Pepper. I am 73 and had my prostate surgery at B&W in Boston in December. I live in a log cabin in Southern NH. It is a great place to be right now. Toughest part was staying inside for 12 days until cath came out on December 31. Then my life returned to normal. Exercise very important. Hike 6-8 miles every day and weights every other day. But downtime on Netflix and Hulu and Audible also important. I try to avoid the negatives: limit news to 15 minutes a day, no talk radio, get up the same time and go to bed the same time every day. Eat a well balanced diet, although selections in markets are limited. Positive mental and physical health is so very important to everyone. And above all: negative people.
Hi Richmondruss, I had prostate surgery in 2017 at Beth Israel. I like the schedule you are keeping. Walking 6-8 miles.day is great! Be safe!
Boston USA or UK? If UK not too far from me. I'm in Maltby Le Marsh just between Alford and Mablethorpe.
Boston, USA
