The official figures (2012) show that the UK national debt has just hit the £1 trillion mark for the first time. People have been debating how many zeroes there are in a trillion and how long it'd take to clear the debt. Some say perhaps 500 years. No-one has a definitive answer but they find out that some Americans are just as confused. George W Bush was informed during the Iraq war that three Brazilian soldiers had been killed. "Oh my Gawd!" he (allegedly) responded, "That's terrible! Remind me again - just how many is a Brazilian?"
