Hi I have a 8 months old son and don't know if I'm suffering from postnatal depression. I have days I feel normal and happy and then have days where I feel very low and unhappy and sad but there is just no reason for it.

Hi

With PNI it is quite normal to have ups and downs like you describe. Do you know what could trigger the lows? Pmt is a very common factor even if you didn't suffer from it before. Other triggers can be tiredness, feeling ill and other specific events although sometimes it appears there is no real reason. Motherhood is tough (imagine doing any job 24/7!!) and no matter how much you love your child it can leave you feeling lonely bored and unfulfilled. It might be worth looking into a pattern .

The main thing is you've identified you're not feeling as you'd want to. Have you told anyone about this? Would you consider going to see your dr? Sometimes just putting in lifestyle changes and making time for yourself can help; also talk g therapies can be great.

Do keep talking. You're not alone x
