Thought I would blog before I go away for a few days on Monday.

Still doing good staying on the 20mg of pred.

Went a walk to town yesterday and on way home got pelvic pain that I had not had for a while, jeez it stops you dead in your tracks. But apart from that I was ok.

We are off to Sherwood castle holiday park on Monday til Friday but will come home Thurs night I think as friday will be going to Boston to stay at a premier in with hubby so next Saturday can collect my new baby boy Harley :)

I will be taking my new friend Mr stick on hols and a wheelchair we had for my mum when she had her knew knees. Just in case I flare, though not sure who I trust to push me around LOL.

On the plus side of pred if there is one, I have gone almost 8 weeks since last period and doc said it was the pred along with the hot flushes. I can cope with the hot flushes they are not to bad but wondering if the dredded monthlys will return upon reduction of pred, I for one am hoping not :)

The bruises are not nice, I get loads on my legs, again the pred. If it's a toss up between pain and side effects then I take the side effects and PMR pain is unbearable at times.

Anyway I will now be quiet for the next week, YAY I hear you shout :)

Be good, be happy and most of all be pain free and .....................

Keep smiling. :)

Have a great holiday Sue and hope you don't need the wheelchair except when you want to get preferential treatment in restaurants and free entry to National Trust! I should have been going to Barcelona today but can't go because of lost passport. Actually I find I don't mind. I'm a bit of a home body really x.

Thanks everyone, yes I am a homebird also so a few days is fine for me. Went to Cromer in June and I made hybby come home 2 days early I had had enough. We can't get into the log cabin til 4pm so tomorrow is over before we start and if it's left to me we will be home Thurs evening. Then friday off to Boston to stay ove to pick up my baby on Sat.

Hopefully when we get home I will have an appointment for rheumy.

So, unless I can get wifi on my phone there I will be back next weekend. :)

Remember to keep smiling:)

Hi, I hope you have a good few days away. I've just come back from Dawlish in Devon, which got extended because I had the most tremendous Pain in my chest. I thought I was having a heart attack!! I am turning into one of those NHS tourists, being taken to Torbay hospital, where I stayed for four nights. I was diagnosed with AF (Atrial Fibrilation) Is this a side effect of taking pred? We were staying at the Convalescent Home in Dawlish and they looked after my husband while I was in dock. When I got out on Thursday, one of our sons came and helped us return home. Thank goodness we'd gone by train! Back home Friday, our daughter had brought food for the weekend. Saturday, another son arrived and took the washing away . We have a very supportive and concerned family, for which we are grateful. Sunday the grocery order arrived from Sainsburys and was put away by another son and Daughter in law. To cap it all, our GP phoned Friday evening and arranged to come and see us about half past eight. He stayed until nearly 10o'clock sorting out our medications! Thank heaven for the NHS. I took a little walk to the post box this afternoon, and am looking forward to my next little outing! Best wishes to you all, Jean
