Hi everyone, I had an accident at the weekend and crashed into an immovable object at relatively high speed in my power wheelchair. Not to be advised! I hit both my legs very hard and am now black with alarming looking bruises and hematomas from knee to ankle on both legs. My primary care doctor checked it out and I haven’t broken anything (thank heavens). I am down to 7 mg prednisone having GCA and having been on prednisone for a couple of years. I upped the dose to 10 mg the day after I did it and am wondering if I should keep at this level till things get a little less sore. Any advice is welcome. Thanks much.

But to be honest - the worst is over, that was at the time of the incident, and now it depends a lot on how you feel. You know the signs.
