I recently was ill. A week of headaches, then whole body aches and chills, (no fever or cough), and had to stay in bed for three days. After the first day in bed, I remembered the sick day rules. I am currently on 3 mg of pred, so up my dose by 10. I believe that is why I am feeling better today. So to my question about the booster and sick day rules: I had a bad reaction to my first two Moderna shots, it took months to feel my old self again. So do you think trying the sick day rules would help when I get the booster? Thanks so much.

Sick day rules and the covid booster
Personally I wouldn't - because the pred does inhibit the development of the immune respose which you want. Did you try paracetamol for the post-vaccine wobblies? I had a flare after the second Moderna jab but have actually felt better after the booster. Though to be fair, it was Pfizer.
I had Pfizer booster last Thursday and had a reaction. Headache started more or less immediately which felt like pressure building. Within 18 hours nose bled heavily and lots of clots - lasted 4 hours but head felt better. Got pains in old surgery areas then started with UTI symptoms. Seems to have affected all weak spots.
Telian, That sounds very severe and scary! Hope you feel better soon.
It is scary particularly as I’ve been hospitalised with a nasal haemorrhage nearly seven years ago. Not nice. That’s why I knew what to do to stem the flow but it took time. Only consolation was the clotting. They’re still there but nose not bleeding as such - hope they don’t have to cauterise again. Seeing GP today. Thank you.
