Hello,
I acknowledge that I have not been one to post here, but I did take the advice offered and am so grateful for it all. After being diagnosed with PMR following a covid shot and then a bout of covid I found this site. Your (all) advice felt right and I latched on to the DSNS approach. Did I struggle? Yes. Did I feel a little lost in confusion? Yes. But I tapered on, splitting 1mg tabs and ignoring some of the advice of the rheumatologist in order to stick to the plan. Interesting that the goal was the same, but the method was gentler. I worked down to 1mg, then split the tabs into quarters (lucky the new prescription tab sizes were larger than before). I kept at the DSNS all the way to 1/4 tab on six days off. Would my body take over?? Let's find out. I put the remainder of the Pred. in the hall cabinet and began a slow exercise routine to WAKE UP the adrenals. That was March 21st, not quite a month ago. Pred. free : )
I struggled at the end not due to pain, but energy. It feels like my adrenals are slow to activate and I often have low energy and no motivation. That's okay with me if I can stick to the new plan I just now thought of DSNS EXERCISE ROUTINE for after Prednisone recovery. The gentle approach got me here, the gentle approach can get me on to feeling strong again. I'm going to print another calendar just like the one I used for tapering and tuck it back in with my morning vitamins to taper UP the exercises for the day. Hang on adrenals help's on the way. 1 / 6, 1 / 5, 1 / 4. . .
Thank you for all the good advice It worked beautifully
