UPDATE - Repeating the Zoom talk on how steroids cause weight gain and raise blood sugars - and low carb eating - 11am Thurs 3rd April 2025

Update - HOUSE FULL - sorry this is so over-subscribed so we cannot accept any more requests on this occasion

From feedback this was very well received last week so we're going to repeat it. I'm going to be leading a discussion on this hosted by the Yorkshire PMRGCAuk support group and anyone interested in the topic is also welcome to join us, you don't have to be from Yorkshire.

I am going to talk about my experience of losing loads of weight through low-cab eating and getting my blood sugar level down from the diabetic range to 'normal' which amazed all my doctors who thought diabetes meds were the only solution.

🥹😢By April, I believe you will be 6 hours ahead of me again....that will be 5 am for me. But, I'm going to send my email in ...and hope I can get up at that early hour. I would LOVE to hear you and the information you are sharing.💞

Sorry, we may try and do an evening one sometime if you'd rather wait? I hate to snatch you from much needed sweet dreams

That would be wonderful; then I KNOW I would make it. I'm still going to give the sunrise hour a try but if I don't make it, I'll look forward to the evening option. Thanks!!!💞

I would also appreciate a recorded version to watch as and when I have time. Many thanks for all you do to help and encourage us through this tedious illness.

Thank you - great opportunity. I'm about 11 hours head of the UK (I think) so it will be late evening - with any luck I will be propping my eyes open. Have sent an email. Cheers

Due to work commitments I’m unable to attend this one either. Is there any chance it could be recorded for us and uploaded here so we can access it when we can?

Check that you used .org.uk and not .co.uk That has happened for others.

Your email is needed to send the link. 🤞

Annoyingly, I also can't make 3rd April @ 11am as I have a physio review @ Tommy's. I'd love to be able to access another time.

I am another one who can’t make that time/date, so yes a recording would be fabulous for those who are interested but unfortunately cannot attend the ‘live’.

I couldn't find a diabetes or diet link in the FAQ section, maybe something food related in there somewhere - I didn't try very hard, but it occurs to me that your account could be a useful addition.

Anything which helps us manage a pred side effect without adding another medication is great!
