Can I say thank you

Thank you to all for your support in reference to my last post .

I have on reflection decided to increase my pred by 5 mg to help clear the onset of PMR flare . I will prob go back down to 1 mg above my cuurrent dosage so 9 instead of 8 . I dont know whats been behind the dastardly state I`ve been in. I assumed it was adrenals but perhaps it was trying to get by on a lower dose than I needed .

Thanks again

Well, that’s a plan. Good luck with it and let us know how you get on.

Either way, that should help you so let us know how you get on and enjoy Christmas but don't assume that means you can overdo it!! As I just said to someone else - rest and pacing is the order of the days ahead!

I have done exactly the same as my body was rebelling against the lower dose and I had pain everywhere. Two days later, with the 5mg increase, I am so much better so I have realised I was tapering too quickly and won’t be doing that again. Our journey is to be pain free so we can keep moving and enjoy life. Hope you get positive results with your increase too.

Sounds a good idea-and as PMRpro has says enjoy Christmas-but not too much!

Sounds good. Hope it works well. Remember though, to continue:start, to take life easy.
