Is this to request a transfer on the NHS or to go privately? And are you willing to travel?

In our opinion, the best option for private in that area is Rod Hughes in Chertsey - and everyone says he is worth 3 stars - worth a journey!

Rod is the one I was talking about Susie, but I don't think he's in your NHS area though you could check.

Are you prepared to go to Southampton?

Yes, I’m in Bognor Regis so that’s not too far for me. Have you seen someone there? NHS or private?

I can recommend Dr Chris Holroyd. I saw him privately at Southampton Spire, then he said i could transfer to his NHS clinic in Soton General. I'm not sure how that works if you're not in the same trust area. If you want to know why I like him, I could PM you.

Yes please, I would like to know more. I am seeing my nhs rheumatologist next week so will see how it goes but after three years I am not feeling very confident about her

I would recommend Dr. Christidis, rheumatologist at Frimley Park Hospital, Hampshire.

got me clear of GCA and steroids in 3 yrs. He is a very kind and understanding physician.

all the best to you and a HAPPY NEW YEAR

Unfortunately, he wasn't instrumental in "getting you clear of GCA", he oversaw you while you were lucky enough to have a relatively short duration. But being kind and understanding is a primary recommendation.
