Apologies if anyone has posted about this already (I have been out of commission with a flu type virus for the last 10 days or so) but I just picked up my latest prescription. One of the 1mg jars still has the expiry date of 3/25 but the second one has an expiry date of 6/26. The manufacturer seems to have changed practice and has put out a new batch earlier than before which was always just before the expiry date of the current batch. This should mean that we will not have the usual end of batch scramble in March 2025. This is very good news for those of us who get the coated 1mg tablets.

My surgery couldn't source any this month, so no obvious improvement in supply yet, it seems.

That’s disappointing. Tbh I’ve not had a problem getting them for the last couple of years - other than getting the new ones at the end of batch scramble time. Perhaps you could politely suggest that they try various different wholesalers? I remember that’s what my pharmacist did when there was an issue a few years back.

Yes. Thanks. They said they had tried a variety, but whether that was a complete trawl, who knows. Judging from different suppliers of same drug, there is obviously a push for the cheapest.
