hi I just had a what I’d describe as visual disturbances lasted about 10-15 minutes- I sat down rested and took an extra 1mg Pred (I’m tapering presently on 2.6mg) - was a bit concerning but it went away. I’m wondering if I did the correct thing and what caused it and a I’m under a lot of emotional stress at the moment so could be that/ also low dose Pred is challenging
Any advice welcome (GCA is why I’m on Pred 3 years in) thanks

You may also want to google "ocular migraine". It's a short lived visual disturbance typically characterized by a lot of quite disorienting waviness. An ocular migraine is typically (but not always) quite benign. But definitely DO NOT ignore the risk that the disturbance was GCA related!!!!!!
PLEAS DO NOT IGNORE EYE PROBLEMS!You have GCA so at a great risk of losing eyesight I woke one morning to pretty patterns in my eye,,3 days later, lost my sight in left eye. Please get it checked out, straight to A and E if it was me.My optician saw me with the pattern in eye and said all was well.It wasn’t!🌼😜
It is not a bad idea to visit an ophthamologist to let control the eye pressure. As a glaucoma patiënt I was warned that a pressure rise was possible and indeed it happened.
