I am now on 1mg pred daily and was without any physical symptoms until last Wednesday, after a flu jab. During Weds night, on walking to the bathroom, I felt the same aches in my thighs as before pred and I thought "here we go again".
But by the next morning, and until now, these symptoms have gone.
These aches could have been due to an immune response to the flu jab (though I have not had any s/e before) or some exacerbation of the PMR caused by the jab. I would be grateful for any comments-thanks.

Could be side effects of flu jab.. I always take paracetamol [paramol/acamol?] 24-48 hours after any vaccine .. advice given by practice nurse many years ago.
If they have now gone, it does sound as if that’s what they, so fingers crossed.
Hiya, had my flu jab Saturday, not bothered me before but this one made me feel totally washed out and very achey, especially in arm where the javelin went in.feel a lot better today but this years DEFINATELY affected me.Took paracetomol before and after on advice of DL but in my case didn’t help, but then maybe it would have been worse if I hadn’t.Lucky it is only once a year eh?💊😳😜
Aaah, but I think I was a lost cause. It was sometimes said by my awful stepfather” never before has a girl known so little about so much” Think I went on to prove him wrong eventually!xx🤣😜
Yep,he was a really awful man,but very good to my mother which was the main thing. When somebody constantly puts you down,it gives you the spur to do something with your life, which is why I left home asap. Can I ask whatOU is?Is it Oxford University? If it is ,well done you!xx🌼🌼😜
my daughter who works for NHS Scotland education and training and provides the guidance on the vaccines flu and covid tells me that is a positive sign. I am now down to 2.5mg pred and for the first time had an aching arm and tiredness and spent the next day in bed from the covid vaccine. I asked if it had been changed and yes it has but she reckons that my immune system must be getting better.
