well I spent a lot of last night mulling over yday appt. Today I filled in an econsult to my GP practice. I don’t know them yet so I just hoped I’d get an understanding one. I told them everything that happened and said I don’t know what to do now. A wonderful GP rang me back who is up to speed with PMR. He listened, he knows about my previous Consultant and his work. I only had a consultant because we couldn’t get the PMR under control for the first 2 yrs and I had copious problems.
He said what I’m doing is totally ok and he’ll support me with how I want to deal with prednisolone. I felt so supported and respected. We agreed that we can deal with my PMR now, but if I have any problems he’ll refer me to a different consultant. He laughed when I said the man yday said he’d never had a PMR patient for longer than 18 months and that u all said that’s because they left him 🤣
Result! Yey
