I have had - and reported - a troll who wrote direct to my Chat. If anyone else gets such a message please report it immediately - unless you report it, HU can't access it and block them.

Thank you

I’ll keep an eye out - another growing on line problem is these ‘romance scams’. I’ve recently been getting a lot of ‘friend requests’ from a spate of (mainly American) very handsome men on Facebook - I’m assuming they’re those romance scam guys hijacking other guys photos etc. I’m just deleting them but some poor women somehow get sucked into those scams and it’s usually some ugly little crook or a gang behind it pretending to be ‘the guy’ in the photos - I’d shoot them if I could catch them as they seem to be able to suck people into their fantasy world and then emotionally blackmail & extort money from them. It’s a crazy world these days isn’t it 🙄

Those have been going on for years - I had a load last year but been quieter recently. I only accept requests from people I actually know! They get deleted immediately otherwise.

Got to watch out for us American men, that English accent makes us swoon. Just kidding, unfortunately, there is a lot of scammers going around, they tend to be other nationalities hacking anyone they can . Dump and block them immediately. Thanks for sharing.

Ha ha, I wasn’t actually casting aspersions on you American men, honestly 😊. It’s the weasels who steal the photos from the internet and then pretend to be them 😱.

And actually there was a programme on UK TV a while ago that showed that they also used women’s photos to prey on lonely men too - so its not just a one way street. However it’s just horrible when you hear how the victims are ‘groomed’ and ‘duped’ emotionally as well as financially- I just hope it’s been publicised enough now to stop so many vulnerable people being scammed so often.

No dispersions taken, just wanted to add a little humor to, what can be, a bad situation. 😘❤️😘❤️

Ha ha, 😊

thanks for the reassurance ❤️, but I did realise 😄👍.

And Yes you’re absolutely right, humour is definitely the best approach to dodgy situations. There’s always a funny side to the worst situations if you look hard enough isn’t there 😄 , cheers, Susan xx

I also received a strange message in my Chat box condemning HealthUnlocked as a big pharma tool. I reported it as spam.

Yup - that's what I got. If there were money to be made for PMRGCAuk out of this I wouldn't mind so much, but not that I've noticed!!!!
