Wishing my awesome Mother, Dorset Lady, a speedy recovery from her shoulder replacement today. I know she should be sleeping as I type but my bet is she is reading through other people's PMR/GCA posts in her valiant attempt to help and advise. Rest easy for a few days Freja! xx

DL. Recover well!

Good luck in her recovery, she is becoming the bionic mother, or is that the sixty four thousand dollar mother?

in reply to piglette

You can't put a price on DL!!!!

in reply to PMRpro

Indeed you cannot.

It is people like DL, yourself, MrsNails, and the rest of the regular helpful souls, that make this forum so unique.

What a well brought up daughter - wonder who did that 😳

Bit bruised this morning ,but not down and out ❤️

True Viking

Blimey. You really must be a Viking. I was 'down and out for months' after my shoulder replacement - you may remember my 'I am broken' post at the time. I therefore marvel at your tenacity. You are one remarkable lady! Though remember even the most remarkable ladies may need help sometimes, so make sure you have support package. It is amazing how much the simplest of tasks require two hands! Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you get offered hydrotherapy it is wonderful! X

Don’t think Dorset hospital trust runs to hydrotherapy! Unfortunately.

If you check you will see she was answering posts yesterday! You can't put down a good viking!

Not it’s not - so no peace for you. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Keep taking the painkillers! I am hoping this op hasn’t been too bad. I don’t really know how shoulder replacements go. I’m guessing they’re not as easy as hips? Keep us up to date on your progress and I hope it goes smoothly.

Thank you so much for letting us know how DL is , that was really thoughtful of you with all the other jobs involved in helping after her surgery.

Please send her my love and hopes that her recovery goes smoothly.

Thanks again for looking after our favourite Viking Goddess , and I hope you both get to rest , relax and enjoy each other's company now the surgery is over and recovery begins.

Bit difficult as one in UK one in NZ - but grandson is here so he can deputise.

It was kind of them to get in touch with Us though.

What on Earth are you doing online ??

You are a wonder , up and at it already.

Plus , having to sit about recovering can feel even more boring and annoying than the usual stuff , can't it?

Big hugs and keep that young helper on his toes 😋😘😘😍

~Healing hugs are sent your way (all 12,000 miles of it) for a quick return to good health as best as it can be ~ :) :) :)

Get well soon . 🌸🌸🌺🌺🌹🌹🌹🌷🌷🌷

Best wishes and speedy recovery from me too.

Surprising what you can do one-handed. x

That got me cogs boggled in the noggin. I am now thinking of stuff you can do. Once I had a bi-lateral carpel tunnel op (both hands same time). I did amaze myself at what I could actually do to keep my dignity.

If I think back that was Parker’s initiation into looking after a loony. No sane person has this op on both hands at the same time but I dint want 12 weeks off work to recover so I did it in 6.

Hope you’re feeling comfortable and allowing others to look after you. My best wishes for your speedy recovery.

Take care DL. Thinking of you. Jen.

Speedy recovery Dorset Lady , I hope you haven't had any storm damage and send Angel healing x
