Post Sickness Advice Please!

Hi - two weeks ago I had a violent sickness attack with excruciating back pain. I was also coughing a lot. A virus with chest infection was diagnosed and I will complete two courses of penicillin today. I’m on 6.5mgs Pred and doubled up to 13mgs. As it is 2 weeks instead of just one I wondered about scaling back to 6.5 rather than going down in one swoop. I’d welcome your input. Thanks 😀

When we recommend the flare protocol you can stay on increased dose for up to 14 days without impacting on drop back down.. but as you have taken slightly higher dose than +5mg it might be a bit more difficult.

So how about try a step down 10mg for a week or so, and providing okay then down to 7mg for another week or two,- before getting back to 6.5mg.

You will only know if you try…,😊

You have to find what you can manage. but a week halfway wouldn't hurt.
