Advice please re sickness bug and taking meds

Hi, I was violently sick yesterday evening and have only managed small sips of water since then. Have stomach pain too and not even thinking about eating today.My question is what should I do about my meds today - specifically pred 7mg and Omeprazole. Is it ok to miss a day of everything or should I try to take the pred anyway?

can you sip water at all? I can only suggest that if this goes on you will have to have your doses injected.

Thank you, yes I'm ok with water but that's about it. Pretty sure its a bug as others in my family have similar symptoms . Hopefully just a 24 hour thing.

If you take the pred and can keep it down for an hour, you should be fine. If not, you will have to wait until you can. You SHOULD be OK for one day - loads of people forget a dose without any problem and some are gifted enough to miss more without a mishap. If it goes on for a few days it might be a good idea to get medical advice - and definitely if you start to feel really unwell, dizzy, confused and so on.

Thank you very much for the advice. I'm just not sure if I should take it on an empty stomach ? I think I would keep it down, it's just the empty stomach thing.

I doubt once is going to make any longterm difference.

Are you recovering at all yet? So unpleasant.

I don't feel sick any more, just have stomach pain. Think I will try some toast later and just take the pred. All other meds can wait till tomorrow. Thanks for your advice
