what could cause these dark shadows in my granny's eyes, it's on both sides, it appears every few months and can last for months sometime. She gets b12 injections but her levels are fine and she had her last injection a week ago. Any thoughts are much appreciated

Does she wear glasses or nose strips?
I got Pred panda eyes with big circles almost like bruises, but not localised like that.
No idea - I developed one in the corner of my left eye recently, disappeared after a few days. I assumed it was a bruise of some sort.
Does it seem to be associated with timings of B12 injections… lack of that may be a reason. Is she on any other medication?
Could be aging or lack of sleep…if painful or swollen she should get them checked - GP or optician?
Yeah I always thought it occurred when her b12 was due, but when I seen it again today and she said she'd had her B12 last week, it left me a bit stumped. She doesn't eat great (most of her stomach removed) and I thought it must be a deficiency but can't find anything that specifically causes this. Thanks for your help though ☺️
I have them too. Thinking it's one of the meds I'm on. They seem to have arrived after I started on Metoprolol for BP. They don't go away and make me appear tired, however, I sleep very well. I don't believe it's the Pred. I wear concealer by times.
Hi, I think mine are caused by having thin skin around the eyes. Nothing to do with prednisolone or other meds. I have never sunbathed much so have a very pale skin naturally. A blob of concealer does the trick.
my skin has definitely changed around my eyes, more deep set underneath and also the dark shadows, all appeared since pred, I use concealer
