I have been dealing with pmr for 8-9 years. Started at 15 mg. Been up and down from that for the last few years. I reached 7 mg this month. Started getting a pain all over so went back up to 8 mg. Feel much better except for the trigger fingers I developed almost over nite.
Are trigger fingers a part of pmr or should I investigate it further ? I have also developed a ligament problem in my foot. I think I remember reading something about pmr causing weak ligaments?
I am so feed up with all of this, like so many of you .🤷♀️
Good luck with future decreases in your prednisone.🌷🥴

I haven’t had my foot looked at, it just started in the middle of last night. I have had plantar fasciatis in the past. Same foot different area. The first one was on top of my foot this one is on the outside. Started using my foot roller and see how it goes. It is just so curious that all these ligament problems are happening.
I looked at that and I am not sure. I saw a chiropractor showing it and I don't have the pain down my leg or in my ankle. I will keep it in mind thanks for the suggestion. If you think it is associated with long term pred. use then I think the other ligaments could be the same association?
I developed trigger finger in my left ring finger about a year before PMR hit. It made eating difficult- holding a fork would get it stuck in a bent position, but it went away on its own in 9 months, as Piglette said.
I had trigger thumb, many years before I developed GCA. It was caused by arthritis in the joint at the base of the tumb, and one steroid injection sorted it.
