Reaction to Denosumab injection

I had my first 6 monthly injection a couple of weeks ago. 2 nights later I was up every half hour to pee and/or poo all night! Since then I've had a lot of grumbly tummy and also pain - shoulders, neck, arms - a bit like PMR but not quite. Upping the pred didn't seem to make much difference. Could these be a side effect of the injection? Has anyone else experienced this? and if so, how long might it go on?

Hello Japsquar. I have been having Demosumab injection, every six months for the last two years, but not had any reaction, so far. I do have a very sensitive gut, so would be surprised if this is related. I will watch for other replies with interest, as I am due another injection next week.

Thanks Allum, I hope that is good news for the future! For both of us. Meanwhile still a mystery!

Thank you, good to hear. From what you and others are saying, this is not related which is reassuring as I probably need the injections!

Hi Japsquar, I was on then for a number of years. I think around 4 years with no side effects at all. Even with 2 bad knees I still could get around doing may garden, my bones have approved, but I've also been having vitamins K2 (mk7), D and Calicum.

Thanks, I’m getting the message that these symptoms aren’t connected with it, good to know!
