An update on previous post

I have managed to taper to 5.5mg from 9mg in 7 weeks so that l can have an MRI. I felt OK on 8mg but when l hit 7mg the symptoms slowly started to return, and at 5.5mg had about 50% of original symptoms when diagnosed back in Sept23 (with lots and lots of rest).

l can now up my dose after my MRI but need some advise please. Do l treat this as a flare and go back to 10mg for 7/10 days and then 8mg and a slow taper from there, or go straight on to 8mg

Probably sensible to treat as a flare, that way hopefully you’ll eliminate the built up inflammation… plus it’s only adding in an extra couple of weeks. Which is nothing much in the great scheme of things.

Thanks for your prompt replies. This was my first thought as well.,Had MRI today and will be glad to get back on to 10mg

Difficult to say but I would treat it as a flare to be more sure of a good result.
