It isn't "in readiness for" - it is stopping MTX for the 2 weeks immediately AFTER vaccination.

Of course the key words for me were in the Interpretation section of the report, saying that suspension of MTX for 2 wks, "enhanced antibody responses after COVID-19 booster vaccination that were sustained at 12 weeks and 26 weeks. There was a temporary increase in inflammatory disease flares, mostly self-managed. --- for some, I will assume, the flares will be unbearable. Makes one question again, the value of an injection that is an immune suppressant.

MTX takes weeks to get out of the system - I can't believe there are many flares in 2 weeks unless the MTX was barely containing the problem anyway ....
