yep, but after a while, it quit happening. there used to be something called orajel that might help.
Do you have any signs of thrush? That can cause a sore mouth.
Yes, its ongoing since I started with pmr. I took medication for thrush twice but it didnt change. Dentist said it because of the inflammation. I think it could be geographic tongue since I do see patches along the edge. It gets very sore depending on what I'm eating. wish I had a cure.
Yes, it started in the spring. I had a sore that wouldn't heal, was sent to consultant who ordered a biopsy - done a month ago and came back clear. However I still have a sore, and a flare up of red and painful tongue every few weeks. I use salty water mouth washes, Bonjella and Anbesol gels and take pain killers. I haven't had a follow up appointment yet to hear if the consultant has any other ideas. I think it has spread the my lower lip now.
It's not food related.
It could be Prednisolone - but I've taken it for 2 years and am only on 5mg daily. It could be the Osteoporosis medication - 9 out of 12 months of Evenity Romosozumab.
I have something that seems often to start as a sore tongue and then spreads to my lips and around my mouth. It doesn;t LOOK like a cold sore but it responds to acyclovir cream, and particularly well to Blistex cold sore cream.
