GCA - Mums current condition

We have finally made contact with both a Neulogogist - Dr. Ignaccio Garcia Bassterre and Rheumatologist Dr. Anna Nieto near Malaga. Dr. Bassterre through Dr. Antonio Tirado the Opthamatologist in Fuengirola, and Dr Nieto through Dr. Melanie Lakes Surgery in San Pedro.

Mum has an appointment pushed by Dr. Lake Wednesday next week - the first professional consultation in 2 weeks! We are relieved....

She is on 80mg or prednisone each day, and the head aches are limited now only to when she eats, but we are finding even that reduces when she drinks a lot of water with her meal. Her spirits are up, and she is excited to see the Doctors finally next week. Fingers crossed for all of that and what that brings.

Needless to say all who have offered there help, interest and concern has been a huge part of keeping Mum calm and finding some answers, we all thank you hugely.

I will update next week once, we have more news.

My best

Ben

SO pleased to hear that at last you’re getting there! Tell your Mum there’s a small army of us here who are rooting for her.

You’ve done so well, Ben! Take care of yourself, too!
