Im currently on a slow steroid taper from 5 mgms daily . I have already posted about the fatigue ,nausea, low mood and fortunately and with the help here Im getting through better . I have an oura ring which measures sleep and heart rate. Also heart rate variability which is a measure of general quickness of body in recovering from daily stressors ( short version ) I noted heart rate has stayed at higher baseline at night and the device advises rest .
My sleep
went off too and I have frequent bowel motions during the day .
Now I notice the sleep has recovered and the heart rate parameters are slowly improving along with will to live
Is this all taper related ? If so , It would be a useful aid in tweaking slow taper ..And thanks again for the help and support

All the things you have mentioned there are typical of reluctant adrenal function. And the way to resolve that is to be patient, adjust your lifestyle and wait for your adrenal function to catch up with the lower dose of pred and not to panic and increase the pred dose again.
It will probably happen again with the next drop. The smaller the change in dose is, the less you should notice it.
That is good - and shows they probably CAN adjust. So carry on , with as small steps as possible and don't take the next step until your balance is back!
