Fast pulse with high BP

recently I’ve had episodes of feeling a pounding heart which went away rather quickly. Then night before last I had this pounding and it wouldn’t stop. My pulse was 147. My blood pressure was 200/109 so I called the ambulance by the time they came it all calmed down. I spent that night the next day on the observation in the emergency room the whole time my vitals were normal.

So today I am going to have a monitor applied to be one worn. But actually no symptoms of PMR; in my mind, it seems to be tied to the taper and the instability of my body during this time.

Unnerving to say the least!! But you have the right approach being taken - long term monitor! No use unless you are wearing one when it happens is it?

They applied a tiny monitor in my L chest for 2 weeks. Much better than the old bulky Holter Monitors. We’ll see. In hospital all parameters were perfectly normal.

I am wearing a ZiO monitor for 2 weeks; this started when I was tapering to 7.5mgm.
