Prednisone and the ongoing dental adventure

After my alarming experience of feeling majorly shaky during and after an orthodontist appointment a couple of weeks ago, I took an extra .5 mg pred this morning, so 2 mg instead of current 1.5, and seem to have weathered an appointment with a periodontist okay. Like last time I did some errands on the way home, and feel fine. What a difference! Last time I thought I took 1.5 but later realized it must have been 1 (have been cautiously tapering), so it just goes to show how even a minuscule change in pred dosage can have an effect quite out of proportion. I made sure to have the 2 mg measured out last night so there'd be no mistakes this time. :)

It's always amazing to me how much difference .5 mg makes. Rheumies need to be educated. As as long as I have been following this forum I have learned so very much and really don't listen much to her. I hear her though and always say "I know" when she says "We have to get that Pred lower". I'm glad the extra bit worked out for you.

Yes it still amazes me how a difference of half mg can make but I suppose the lower the dose the higher the percentage is too. 💐
