Breakfast at A&E

We got stuck in A&E for 16 hours this week with my husband in severe pain on RHS of his back. The night passed and morning came, with bad news about waiting times, ie 12+ hours. remembered that I had to take my pred, and thanks to all of you I had some 5s and ones in my bag. I took my dose with a large Kitkat and a paper cup of water. My husband was diagnosed with kidney stones and has started on his medication this morning. That's both of us on Omeprazole now!

Oh dear, grim all round. Well done soldier. I hope he gets some relief soon.

Empathy and hugs - spent many a night in A+E with my old mum.

It's a bit rough in the ED these days - with nights worse than days as there are fewer staff on at night and doctor waits get long. But your story adds emphasis to my saying I don't leave the house without a day's medications in my bag. Just in case!

Hope he passes the stone soon - supposed to be the worst pain there is.
