I did the world's fastest zipwire in Wales and it was absolutely amazing!!! I loved every second. We 'flew' superman style, suspended flat, face downward, at 118mph! I was with a group of 7 young men and they looked terrified so I went first telling them "If the old lady can do it so can you"... and sang "I wish I could fly" (Like the green duck Orville) at the top of my voice all the way down.
Definitely buzzing!!!
I might have PMR, GCA, LVV, lung disease and possibly Parkinson's, but today at least they haven't got me 😀

Thank you everyone 💓 We're back home now, with some amazing video and photos. My mother in law will not be impressed with her son's expletives as he was hurtling along, ha ha.
I turned 60 last year, my birthday was a couple of weeks before getting my diagnosis.
I had been going on about wanting to do something crazy for my birthday and had mentioned this zip wire thingy ages ago as we had seen it being built years ago during a holiday in wales. So the other half got me a voucher todo this.
I wasn’t sure if, having this condition, they would let you do it……together with a bit of loss of confidence I had put it on a back burner and maybe offer to a friend etc.
I may just dig the voucher out and go for it and we-hay…….weeeeeeeee 🤪🤪🤪
Do it! Honestly, it's really safe and you don't need any strength. As long as you can climb onto the starting table and lay on it face down for about 45 seconds or so you'll be fine. The table was around my hip height... I'm 5ft 6ins... and is really well padded. Your arms are at your sides all the way down and you only need to put them in front of you at the very end to take hold of the t-bar they hold up to you as you're stopping. Weeeeeeeee 😀😀😀 And spectators can view from the on site coffee shop.
