pred and a cold?

so I’ve just started on dealing with latest flare, currently taking 8 mg. Have developed a cold, first in years. My question is do I hold steady or put pred up, for a few days?

Unless it turns into anything more than a cold just carry on with the usual procedure for dealing with a flare contained in this -

I’ve gone to 5 mg. Prednisone every 8 hours and the side effects have disappeared totally…feeling better than I have in quite awhile..I’ll begin tapering 1 mg. Every two months soon …my rhumy thinks I should have been off prednisone one year after diagnosis….NO WAY ! The other meds he has tried to help with tapering caused much more side effects and I ended up dropping them

PMR doesn't even only last 2 years - being off pred in a year is crackers!
