Dosage advice please.

I’ve been living happily on 2mg Prednisolone now for about 9 months but the last few months have been pretty full-on activity-wise & after returning from a flying visit to U.K. from my home in Spain on Saturday, I’ve got the signs of a flare….extremely tired, & aching collar bone/upper arms & hips. The aches aren’t bad, but enough to make me increase the dose to 3 for the last few days. However, it’s not made much difference. Should I go to 5mg for a couple of days to get rid of the aches etc & then go back to 2 once it’s cleared? Thank you.

Usual advice for dealing with a flare contained in this link -

healthunlocked.com/pmrgcauk...

It might not be much at moment, but if you just creep up as you suggest they may well do - so best to catch it quick and hard even if it does seem overkill

I think you would be best with a week of plus 5mg. Though I bet those symptoms are not unconnected with travel - who did you fly with? MrRyanair? And the suitcase?

I’d flown with Ryanair but previously to CT with Turkish & Ryanair at Christmas to Morocco!

Thanks, will do 5 from tomorrow

Nothing against Mr Ryanair, runs a decent bus service, but his seats are not really conducive to comfort ...

As it happens, on Saturday I opted for random seat allocation & got the emergency exit row, aisle seat! Result! 👍

Very good - always worth the trial! I like aisle seats - even on RA where you can't really stick your legs out a lot because of their blasted trolleys!

PMRPRO suggested "plus 5" not go to 5.I have been in the same position as you and that is probably why I noticed.
