well Rheumy called with results this moring of MRI, I have to say, was taken back, showed evidence of stroke? could have happened in last 6 mos he said, i never had any numbness, lloss of speech, etc, so I was very shocked, now more tests, dropping pred to 20 mgs tomorrow or 2 weeks, had specialized bloodwork today, and he is setting up appt at stroke clinic, and also setting up Catscan , for arteries in neck, for possible blockage, also have to start on 81 mgs of aspirin, gosh, all of this after 6 plus yrs of PMR, so his plan is to reduce to 20 tomorrow for 2 weeks, then bloodwork, then 15 for 2 weeks, bloodthen 12 1/2 , and on and on, Iam not sleeping well, which I think is from pred, feeling woozy,, and fatigue, could be from pred, weird most days, very anxious about it all, but I think at least my rheumy is on top of everything, and doesnt waste time getting tests etc, and calling me, still nerve racking, ??

What a horrible time for you. Your head must be spinning with all that’s happened and this latest news. Yes, your rheumy appears to be very much on top of things and doing everything he feels necessary. Have faith - sending my best wishes to you.

I know of people who’ve had a mini stroke, or TIA & not known they’ve had one until a scan showed it. Mum had a slight stroke, but lost her speech so realised something was wrong…she was still doing the washing up when the doctor arrived!! Hope all goes well!
