I have been very interested in the responses to the question posed by crochetgardener as I have been on Lansoprazole ever since I was diagnosed in 2020, and I organise my whole morning around taking it before my breakfast - something which I’ve got used to, and it causes me no significant inconvenience; however, I’ll be staying in a hotel for a few days at the end of the month, and it might be easier if I take up the suggestion of taking it last thing at night.
My question is, what’s the best way to shift my dosage time? Have one day when I take 2 doses - i.e. one at breakfast and one last thing at night - or should I have a couple of days where I take it later each day, i.e. one before lunch, the next before the evening meal, etc? Would there be overdose effects if I take the first option of 2 in one day - albeit about 17 hours apart? Thank you

Thanks for the advice. I'd quite like to stop the lansoprazole - maybe after I've been away. I almost always have kefir and/or yogurt with my breakfast: is that likely to be enough to protect my stomach from the ill effects of the pred?
