I have been doing well using the dabs method. Made it through the horrendous fatigue and nicely down to two and a half . Feels like GCA gone and thought the same for PMR. No signs of PMR for several years and then back it comes almost like the beginning. I went to 5 for 10 days . It helped so back to 3. Unfortunately back again. Worried about yo-yoing here. I realize now I should have gone 5 over to 7 or 8. Should I do that now ? Like everyone don’t want my hard work down the drain. Maybe try 8 for a week and back to perhaps 4 after 10 days. Can a person keep going up and down like this . Don’t want to but can’t get up out of a chair again. 🥲

I would say you didn’t go high enough and therefore didn’t get it fully under control -so maybe try again -this time dropping down in 2 steps -firstly to 6mg for at least a week -and just to 4mg -no lower.
But you do need to make sure you feel okay at each step -not just reduce.
This should get you back on track -and no you don’t want to be yo-yoing..so maybe just stay at each step down a bit longer than you have in recent times …. Below 5mg there is very little adverse effect of Pred -so take it more slowly…..
