Timing of pills!

I had no idea that I shouldn’t be taking all my pills, prednisolone, aspirin, atorvastatin, omeprazole and adcal -D3 at the same time each morning……

Having now read some comments I will review my timings. I now understand why I don’t feel good in the mornings….

Afraid that's another thing doctors don't tell you....

Probably not, but once upon a time they would have looked it up!

Hello Ancestry1234.

You have my every sympathy - it can be a bit of a nightmare trying to sort out timings for your medication. If you have a pharmacist whom you could see in person, they are usually very helpful is setting out a timetable with advice for you. Alternatively, you could ask your surgery if they have a pharmacist working with them - this is increasingly the case and they have a responsibility to carry out medication reviews for patients with ongoing health problems.

It's really important to get the timings right as some medication's absorption is affected by other medication. Good luck and I hope you start better soon.

Some doctors recommend statin at night (mine did) as apparently you make most cholesterol at night.

ask your pharmacist for her help in working out your drug timings.

I thought we we not supposed to take calcium with our prednisone?

I take my calcium, vitamin D3, and K2 at lunch and again at dinner time.

Prednisone dose split in half so one dose in the morning 5mg, and one before bedtime 4 1/4mg. My total for the day is 9 1/2mg right now.
