Apart from having PMR, I also have COPD so my first vaccination was in December 2021. I then had a further 4 vaccinations with the 5th and last one being in August this year. I have searched through the questions section on this website but can find nothing relating to having 6 jabs.
Has anyone else been invited to have a 6th jab? I just don’t want to have too many vaccines pumped into me.

I think there are quite a few in UK who have had 6 vaccines…sure they’ll be along in time to give their experiences…..

You will need it eventually - there needs to be at least 4 months between your last one and this one and closer to 6 months is felt to be better.
It is less how many jabs you have had - the first 3 for us was the same as the first 2 for healthy people as the primary course - but how long it is since the last. The immunity is felt to wane from about 4 months so by 6 months you need another for good protection.
I have had 6. There were 6 months between the last two, but only 3 months between 4 & 5. I think the guidelines may have changed at some point.
Hi there, I've had 3 primary vaccinations and two boosters...the last one being in June this year. I'm going for my 6th vaccination next week....5mths after last one.
I too feel very apprehensive about the effect all these vaccinations may have on my body, as together with my flu vaccination last month, I'll have had 7 vaccinations in a little over 18mths.
I'm on steroids to suppress my immune system and yet the vaccinations all stimulate it! How confused must my immune system be!!
Despite this, I do still feel I must have my next covid booster as not having it will leave me potentially very vulnerable to serious illness should I catch covid. That's purely the decision I have made based on my own personal circumstances....you must make yours based on your own.
Thank you for your comments and yes, I have also had a total of 6 vaccinations so far. Feeling a bit like the proverbial pincushion!! It’s just three months since my last Covid jab so I think I’ll leave it a bit longer before I have the next one.

This year, I've had a 6th Covid vaccine, 2 doses of Shingrix (shingles vaccine), a Flu jab and a Pneumonia jab. The only side effect I've experienced is a slight tenderness at the injection site.
I’ve just had an invite for my 6th jab, but am not sure whether to wait a month or so as it’s only five months since the last one, I was under the impression that they should be 6 months apart, on the other hand if I have it sooner it will no doubt boost my immunity for when we go off to Caribbean after Christmas, I’ve also just been called for shingles vaccine, sometimes I do think it’s a bit of an overkill but I wouldn’t dream of not having them when offered as they obviously work.
Just make sure the shingles vaccine is the non-live one -Shingrix NOT the live Zostavax version.
I have had 2 only. I will never get another. I do alternative practices. I have not had Covid. I also have asthma. I’m 68. Just my choice. I appreciate everyone’s decision to do what is best for them
I am in America, where to my knowledge, there are no sixth vaccine offered. 73 years old.
I have had two Moderna vaccines, and one booster, and had Covid a few months ago, a mild case. I am very hesitant to get any more, for various reasons. Would like to know your take on why you are hesitant about getting any more jabs.
I live in Canada but am in AZ right now. I had a terrible reaction to the 2nd moderna vaccine. I’m sure a bad case of Covid wouldn’t have been any worse. I never take medication other than an inhaler for asthma. I know so many that have had all vaccines and boosters….still getting bad Covid experiences. I’m also concerned that we just don’t really know what this is doing to our bodies long term. That’s to be seen!
I had my sixth vaccination two weeks ago. Only side effect was feeling even more sleepy than normal. Next day that was gone
I had my 5th jab in July, unfortunately I caught the virus in October. I didn’t get the antivirals and didn’t take enough pred. After 5 weeks I am taking antibiotics for a secondary chest infection. Although I have heard for some people the virus is a bit like bad cold, in my experience it’s a bit worse. I would have the jab, I think it can’t be as bad as having the virus.
YesI’ve had my 6th. The first 5 we’re all Pfizer the 6th was the Moderna bivalent. No adverse reactions
I have just had vaccine 5 (Pfizer). I am only 59 and below 10mg pred. Unless the lovely rheumatologists increase my dosage I think that I will have at least a 12 month wait for another jab. If so I am glad to have the decision taken out of my hands. I will be interested to see the effect on my health.
I have apparently as the virus mutates so do the new vaccines? I am having my 6th, on 15th Nov 3mths after my 5th.
