My rheumatologist said I had a frozen shoulder and gave me a steroid injection. It did not make a blind bit of difference, but where he injected was painful for ages. I am pretty certain it was not frozen shoulder.
I had a frozen shoulder, lots going on in there according to an mri. Had a cortisone needle under ultrasound, followed up with physio and voile, it worked!
I had two steroid injection, one per shoulder! About 4 months ago. Really helped with dreadful pain in shoulders, but has worn off now. If I can I will get them done again, but as you can only have so many per year I will wait a while & see if they improve. But I wasn’t diagnosed with #
I too am suffering a painful shoulder. Mainly only one shoulder so I’m thinking not a flair.
My new recent rheumatologist checked rigorously for GCA , offered a steroid injection (but we both agreed no more steroid). Out of the blue this week I had an appointment offered for physio saying this Rhuemy. had requested it and told them about the PMR. I am so impressed. Hope I’m still impressed after physio starts😃😃.
Frozen shoulder is now being considered as autoimmune. I had both sides. It will get better if you do nothing, but is slow. Steroid injection did nothing. Good luck.
So you are a raggae man. we lived in Jamaica in the sixties and that was THE MUSIC on the radio and the whole island!! Hope your taper is going well, I am also on that journey with the help of Actemra Infusions. Slow but sure is my story now!
Wow on living in Jamaica in the 60s. I have 100s of reggae tracks and my favourite artiste/band is Lee "Scratch" Perry and the Upsetters or Marcia Griffiths or....... I had to listen to pirate radio or go see a switched on DJ to get to hear reggae as the exposure was lame.
I went to Barbados a few years ago and saw a few sound systems and fellow cruisers wondered what a white pensioner found so interesting about a stacks of speakers blaring out Rasta reggae ha ha!
I'd love to live there and see out my days half and not in pain
The American side of my family are from Grenada originally.
I have been waiting since May for physio on mine and nhs can only offer a phone call at end of November!! so have now gone private, had two steroid injections in different parts of shoulder and 1 session of the emmet technique and things are slowly looking up! xx
