Hello all
I'd just like to let you all know that the NHS really does work ...at least it has for me.
Short resume....PMR 2011, Prednisolone practically continuously in varying amounts ever since until this year when moved onto hydrocortisone 25mg spread over the day after 8.30am cortisol tests demonstrated adrenal insufficiency. Also developed persistent AF this year with rapid heart beat awaiting Cardioversion.
Caught Covid last weekend at a superspreader event in church. Moderate symptoms. Sent off PCR test that I'd been srnt by NHS months and months ago on Wednesday and reported positive lateral flow Wed evening.
NHS nurse phoned Thursday closely followed by doctor. Antiviral medication arrived by courier Thursday afternoon. This morning a new PCR test arrived by post office. despite the postal strike, to replace the one i used this week.
Anti virals working well. Feeling much better. Hurray for the NHS.
Just hope all of you get good treatment too.
