Most people call the mouth to stomach version an endoscopy but they are both endoscopic procedures in fact! The technical term is "upper gastrointestinal endoscopic examination"

No - a one-day increase in pred won't mess anything up - you will just go bac to normal.

Hi, I had a colonoscopy on August 6th & I told everyone who would listen that I was on 3.5mg of Prednisolone & hadn’t taken any that morning. They didn’t give me any through the drip but gave me a much lower dose of sedation than my two colonoscopies last year.

I took my 3.5mg as soon as I got home & all was fine, no flare.

Make sure they know at the hospital you are on prednisone and that you didn’t take it that morning. Every doctor is different. Mine gave me a boosted dose in my IV so I was good to resume my regular dose the next day.
