Perfect!
Lovely - coast is very therapeutic. Those of us that have one nearby are very lucky -can I ask where it is? Roughly…
Cornwall
Don't go enough really
My nearest is only about 9 miles away so go for coffee and a walk couple of times a week -winter or summer.
Just over 200km for me - with a lot of mountain roads to negotiate too! And then it isn't the prettiest of coastlines around Venice!
Yeah -but you have the mountains -can’t have it all! 😉
It's different though isn't it? Got water at the moment - nice line in thunderstorms going down the other side of the mountain
Yes it is -it would be nice if we could change it as we like….day by day,,, Don’t want much do I? 🤔
My dream years ago was for a flat here, a small place in the south of France near the coast, and a camper van to commute between the two ...
I think any beautiful view of natural countryside is restorative, but there's definitely something about being near water isn't there..whether it's the sea, a river or a lake.... that's so calming and soothing. I'd happily live by the sea or lakeside. I do have a river but its just out of sight from my window unfortunately.
The mountains must be a pretty good 'second best' though?
Since the neighbours cut down the leylandii when they extended the house upwards, I now have a view of the river from the balcony and I can hear it really clearly at present after the storms - it's pretty brown!!! Unfortunately, when they made the top story "proper" rather than "in the roof" it blocked more of the view of the mountains behind it but I still see the upper prettier part! You win some ...
I love a trip to the coast, Cornwall being one of our favourite places. A stroll by the sea lifts my spirits😄. A trip home to my beloved Yorkshire dales has the same effect. We live on the edge of a city now, visiting places where you can see the sky has a wonderful therapeutic effect. 👍👍👍
