prednosolone + aspirin+ amoxicillin

ibe been having stomach and back pains for some time now .. used to be temporary first times lately have been frequent, so I went for check up did some test there including urinalysis.. Didn't find anything wrong. so they prescribed me with amoxicillin prednisolone and aspirin toldme I have to take a lot of liquids...is the drug combination safe to take altogether?

The mix is considered safe - but I suspect you MIGHT bruise easily for a few days. Though if they didn't find anything - why give you an antibiotic?

However - we are just patients so you really should discuss it with a doctor if you are worried about it.

I took Pred and aspirin (already on pre GCA diagnosis) with no issues....and also an antibiotic early days for oral thrush..

Have they done any pelvic investigations? Pelvic congestion can give rise to your symptoms. Dragging pains, particularly towards the end of the day. IBS and or Urinary symptoms. Back and lower abdominal pain, bloating.What is the aspirin for? The combo seems safe but as a fellow sufferer - odd.

I’ve had all three together without any known issues. I take aspirin 75mg and have for over 12 months, continuing until I pop my clogs. Pred because of PMR and amoxicillin on four separate occasions this year due to a problematic tooth. I have no apparent issues with the combination, apart from bruising easily, esp the hands.

I always cross check myself but my GP’s pretty good - but l think that’s because the Screen Flashes with a Red Warning as l’m on MTX

It’s always worth checking & reminding the Dispensing Pharmacist too….

Nothing on profile to say where from -defo not PMR patient at 24! Only joined yesterday so probably found us by default on the Pred tag…
