Good morning my wise owls

Haven’t posted in a whole. Managed to taper to 6mg (2weeks). Just had bloods done. Unfortunately the ESR one was not gone properly so waiting for another one. The CRP has come back at less than 1.0. I feel fine on 6 mg - no pain. Considering dropping to 5mg. Am I pushing it? Will I regret it? What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Do you mean you’ve been in 6mg for 2 weeks?…if so at I would stay at each dose for at least 4 weeks.

As for reducing, you won’t know until you try, but maybe dip your toe in the water with a 0.5mg drop rather than whole 1mg.

Might not sound much, but it can be a big difference at lower doses..

Absolutely no rush as you get lower…

Personally I would drop 0.5mg at that dose, minimum time between drops every four weeks, if you feel OK.

Sounds good, but you shouldn't taper more than 10% which is hard at lower doses. 0.5 is the way to go.Best of luck

You have to try to find out - but I wouldn't do a while 1mg but 1/2 at a time and would use a slowed taper of some sort, Plus I would be giving it a month to be sure you are still OK.

Thank you all. I will go 0.5 and follow Dorset Lady tapering plan.

I’ve just done exactly the same thing 3 days ago. Fingers crossed for 5.5mg! 🤗
