It's #NationalVolunteersWeek - a perfect opportunity to say thank you to all the volunteers who help us to help people with PMR and GCA.
Most of you will know our forum volunteers, PMRpro , DorsetLady and MrsNails who do an incredible job keeping an eye on all the posts and replying to many, if not all, of them.
And because I know we have trustees, patient representatives, helpline call members, people who send out things such as Christmas cards, information packs, NewsWire magazine, group organisers and more on the forum too, let's extend a huge thank you to them all.

Yes!...... allof you are so important, and I as just one of many people, lucky enough to be on the receiving end of all your support and advice, am so truly grateful for your help and all the time you invest in answering the many questions asked of you.It's not always easy to 'put yourself out there' and ask for help but it has never felt awkward or difficult on here, so THANKYOU! Big round of applause and pat on the back to all who do their bit to help others on here, the Helpline, local support groups, committees etc. Every contribution and reply on here helps someone, it's no exaggeration to say it has saved my life and keeps me sane knowing there are people who can help. We are at last beginning to see progress in understanding and treating our conditions and all these little, and big actions, add up. Let's keep it up
Absolutely agree with every comment. I know for sure that those mentioned have had their own struggles but somehow they always turn up when we need them. This is without doubt a very special support for all of us.Thank you.

A hearty thank you to the volunteers. I am very grateful, because without them it would have been difficult for me to negotiate the different phases of PMR. I had never heard of it before and Health Unlocked has been of great help in giving advice re: the problems caused by it and the side effects of the steroids. Without the volunteers and if course other contributors to Health Unlocked it would have been a bewildering and depressing journey. I cannot thank the volunteers enough for their sensible and informed advice, that has helped me so much. Thank you, thank you, what would we do without you. You are truly wonderful.

Thanks to this wonderful site for helping me cope with my disease. Although I don't have PMR my Palindromic Rheumatism is similar and treated with steroids so the wealth of information on this forum is invaluable. Such a great resource and source of information.
Nothing but great appreciation for all you do. My first contact with humans in the day, sometimes my only contact. Caring, kind, informative advice and so seamlessly presented I forget it is driven mostly by volunteers. Thank you, thank you.
Indeed, all of you and other regular posters are such an amazing comfort and support to all of us struggling with this wretched disease where our medics leave a huge amount to be desired , and even actually leave us feeling very misunderstood and even depressed. Millions of thanks to all of you. Where would we all be without you.

I don’t know where I would be with all the lovely ladies who help us all.I give my doctors headaches with the information I get, one doctor even said to me change places as you know more than me.Really !,,
