Ear pressure and blockage in gca

My wife is on gca treatment from last 10 months ,she took 60 mg tapering prednisone with

Actemra weekly in starting 4 months , now , only on prednisone 9 mg , got two flare at 10 mg in between, and went back to 40 mg

Her , main symptom are, pressure and blockage on both side of ear ( but no problem in hearing )

Is it common problem in gca , does any one feel

Such type of problem ? Pl help me .

Has a doctor looked inside her ear canal to see if there anything doing the blocking like wax or fluid on the other side of the eardrum?

When I had visual symptoms in October (while on 10 mg), I felt a strange 'fullness' in both ears, no pain, hearing not affected. And buzzing, like tinnitus. I also felt a 'fullness'/tightness in my throat along with throbbing, tongue pain and jaw pain while chewing . All of this subsided after I was prescribed 50 mg Pred. (The Rheumy is skeptical that I have/had GCA because my blood test showed no inflammation.)

Make sure her ear is checked. I was diagnosed with sudden severe hearing loss this summer. The hearing in my right ear went very muffled (turns out it was an acoustic neuroma).
