To reduce two weeks on 30 ml that was upt from too low 15 of three weeks. I’m sure far too early, what do you think.

Can you reduce by 2.5 mg? As long as you don't have coated pred you could cut a 5 mg tablet if you don't have smaller ones. Rule of thumb is to reduce by 10% and 2.5 is closer to 10% of 30 mg than 5 mg. You are right, it is best to taper slowly in small steps. And usually one would be on an effective starting dose for a month.

It should be OK though 2.5 done twice would probably be better, And if you feel good now after the 2 weeks - yes, I would try,

It is a high dose, not a VERY high dose. Wonder what she'd say to a GCA patient on 60, even 80mg. If you needed 30, you needed 30mg.

Have you thought about splitting the dose? Two thirds in the morning as usual and the rest some time later, after lunch maybe with that timing of the pain, which should extend the antiinflammatory effect until next morning.

Sounds good but is it as effective for getting rid of inflammation?also once kicks in ,l feel fit enough to play a few games of badminton which I love ,and keeps me fit ,very good for my mojo.

If you haven't got symptoms there is no inflammation - a return of symptoms inside the 24 hours is because there is some inflammation
