Last February, my partner had his first AZ Covid jab and ended up in hospital with intense pain, finally he was diagnosed with PMR! I don’t believe the jab caused the PMR, rather than it just triggered a severe reaction as he had had the symptoms but no diagnosis previously. In July, after much thought, he had his 2nd dose of AZ at a hospital so that they could monitor him. He was on 10mg of Pred and was fine - no side effects.
In October he had his 3rd jab, along with a flu jab (yes really!!) This time it was Pfizer and he had no side effects. Yesterday he had his 4th dose (Pfizer) and he is absolutely fine.
So I thought I would share the fact that just because there is a bad reaction once, it’s not always going to be the case. And also my gratitude that we would never have heard about the 3rd and 4th dose if it wasn’t for this forum!

Absolutely, I had to send the link from here to his consultant to get his 3rd! Fortunately the fourth wasn’t such a fight at the doctors we’re on the case by then.
