Many of you have had a letter saying you are entitled to a 4th Covid jab. What are the criteria for this? I was diagnosed with PMR in June 2021 and am currently on 8mg of prednisolone, having tapered from 15mg.

This was posted a week ago - oodles of replies - hopefully you can find the answer amongst them.

If not, then type “4th covid vaccine” into search engine…..
At the time of the third vaccines, the advice was that it was for people who had been immunosuppressed at the time of their second vaccines, which may therefore not have been effective.
I replied to somebody else about this today, but I’m not sure if I did it right so you may not have read it.
In October 2021, I was invited for my 3rd Primary dose by my GP through Primary Care. No problems (except it never showed up on my NHS records).
I received an NHS invite for a booster on 21 January 2022 but the NHS booking website said I needed a ‘Letter’ etc
To cut a long story short, the Receptionist at my GPs told me ‘We’re not doing letters any more’.
I decided to book an appointment at the nearest vaccine centre. I printed off all the messages that I had ever received regarding Covid 19 vaccinations, one which said I was immunocompromised, and I showed them to the vaccine centre staff. After seeing 4 different people, which took 30 minutes, I won the battle and got the vaccine. From what I’ve read, some GPs are providing letters.
Good luck with getting your booster!
