Good things today

In the post arrived my very own PCR Test as referred to within the email I received on Monday about the NHS new treatments, so it doesn’t look as if that was a scam at all.

Also rang the doctors surgery as I needed my 1mg tablets put onto repeat prescription and also that i probably needed a catch up with my GP as we hadn’t spoken since September

Results - face to face appointment with the GP in January

Pharmacist rang to check what it was I actually needed and has put the 1mg tablets on repeat and also added 2.5mg tablets into my repeat prescriptions so I can utilise them when I am reducing, she also said she didn’t recommend more than a 1mg drop at any time and was quite happy that I was looking to taper slowly from 10mg to 9 via 9.5.

All in all, having read of other peoples problems and issues, I feel very happy that our GP surgery appears to be fully vested in listening and helping their patients in this journey

Excellent - I hope the pharmacist is sufficiently clued up to make sure your tablets are all the same sort - i.e. either all plain pred or all enteric coated.

We had a discussion about that and she was dismissive about there being very much of a difference between them

I havent had any letter or email regarding any of this and yet I always had letters from Matt Hancock as on the cv list! should I be ringing anybody about this?

Probably. There is nowhere to reply to on the email, so would probably have to be your GP. But check your junk mail - that's where mine landed.
