Always look on the Bright Side.

Trying to get out of bed thanks to my dodgy hip,I fell forward and managed to bang my head on the edge of the dressing table.I now have cracked ribs an ugly gash on my nose and two black eyes. On the bright side people will no longer tell me how well I look, which Is so annoying when you are on Pred and feel like sh***.

Well I certainly won't like that post!! So sorry - get someone to get you some arnica. I couldn't believe how the homeopathic globules helped my bruises and I always use the cream for bruises.

I took Arnica in homeopathic pill form and it coincided with the easing of my recent severe back of the head pain. It is spookily effective.

Exactly - how can it? But it did!!

Oh dear, poor you! A lot of TLC required next few days.

Yikes!!! Feel better soon🌻🌻

So sorry for you, it appears that you have really been in the wars but can still find something positive out if it which is good. The good thing about bruises is that they can soon fade and the Arnica cream can help if you can get hold of some. and will help with the pain. Hope you have a supply of Paracetomol and I hope you will soon feel much better.

😖

That’s awful. I hope you have the opportunity to milk it while your face goes through the colours of the rainbow and you’re back to Pred normal. Cracked ribs is not for cissies however; make sure you keep up the painkillers to be able to breathe as properly as possible.

Oh poor you seagu11! That must have shocked you and really knocked you about! Try Arnica! It just lifted me out of awful head pain and it’s good for the shock of accidents.

Arnica is good in the short term.

PS: are you ready for the off on Friday?

Your post is the fulfillment of my daily requirement to "find-something-to-laugh-at-about-our-riduculous-condition" .

I am so sorry you had this accident, but if it helps, they way you describe it certainly made me laugh!

Hoping you recovery well and quickly...

Oh total sympathy. But you're last comment I'd make me laugh. I hope you heal up quick. It sounds nasty. Veer best wishes for a speedy healing.

So sorry you had such a tumble but I did appreciate the " gallows humour".

Get some rest , and why not take a photo of yourself now , you could put it on a t-shirt or big badge with the words , " oh , I look great on the outside but inside I look like this!" xx

What a shame! Always good to look on the bright side but you don’t want to go through that again. Are you being seen re your hip?

Seagu11 profile image
Seagu11 in reply toJackoh

Have been referred for total hip, replacement🙀 due to osteoporosis. Can this be why I am being hastened to taper Pred so fast ? Diagnosed GCA

am bewildered I have never suffered from joint pain till I started tapering Pred. To taper or not to,that is the question?

Jackoh profile image
Jackoh in reply toSeagu11

Yes they obviously want you to taper because of osteoporosis but we can only go as fast as condition dictates can’t we? Not as doctors sometimes want us to. X
